About The MC Post
Back to latest edition
On The MC Post, you’ll find a weekly briefing with links to the major headlines, releases and announcements from around defense and national security all in one place. From emerging technologies to the policy decisions that drive the industry to the stories uniform-wearers and government employees care about, our team curates the news to help you sort through the noise.
To be informed today means knowing where to look and checking often. Content is spread among fleeting posts and disparate publications, and—especially in this space—knowing what’s going on matters to your mission or your bottom line.
Our goal is honestly pretty simple: to make your life a little bit easier by helping you cut through the noise and focus on what matters. What does that look like? If you were to read nothing else but the content curated in The MC Post, you would still be informed about what’s going on in the DIB.
The MC Post isn’t here to replace any publication but rather to streamline how you connect to relevant information. In doing so, we’re aiming to capture the familiar feeling of cracking open a paper on the weekend.
Slow down. Have your morning coffee. Catch up on what’s going on.
We’d like to think we’re harkening back to a simpler time, but if we’re being honest, getting the right information has never been simple. Before the Internet (before the printing press even!) the Roman Stoic, Seneca, admonished that “to be everywhere is to be nowhere.” He meant that if our attention is divided, it’s not attention at all. There's no doubt that in this era of AI our attention is divided, but my point is we can’t necessarily blame the digital age for how we respond to the noise. Focus has always been a conscious choice, so we are choosing to help you focus on the important stories.
Real people curating content for real people.
It’s not lost on us that this first edition comes in the middle of a government shutdown and on the same week many journalists who regularly cover defense were asked to turn in their Pentagon credentials. Let this be our contribution to supporting this community by highlighting good journalism and timely information. We're gathering content worth reading and organizations worth supporting.
I look forward to this process being a dialogue: tell us what you care about and what you think about the content we share so we can continue to make it more relevant at news@missioncultivate.com.
All we ask in return is if you find this product valuable, you share it with your colleagues.
The MC Post is brought to you by the team behind Mission Cultivate—the defense and national security networking platform. And that’s where the conversation continues. We’re driven by the same mission to bring people together and connect them to the right resources and opportunities they need to succeed.
If you haven’t requested your invite to Mission Cultivate, you do that here.
Thanks for reading,
